Jaipur: Two valves of the heart of a 55-year-old Canadian man of Indian origin were successfully converted without open-heart surgery. In Jaipur, a team of physicians led by Heart Specialist Ravindra Singh Rao used transcatheter aortic valve implantation and transcatheter mitral valve replacement medium. This is the first case of Asia and India when two valves have been converted simultaneously.

According to doctors, the patient suffering from many heart diseases was having trouble breathing while doing a little work along with his daily routine. After heart failure, he was admitted to the hospital in his hometown in Chandigarh. Medicines did not work due to the shrinking of both valves. The doctor was suggesting valve replacement for this. Dr Rao converted both the mitral and aortic valves of the patient through TAVI and TMVR without operation.

On the other hand, the country is undergoing a crisis due to COVID-19 virus pandemic. COVID-19 cases are increasing day by day. All steps were taken by the government to save the people from this pandemic, but during the unlock, the cases of COVID-19 increased. However, according to data released on Tuesday by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there have been fewer cases in the last 24 hours.
