Kashmir IGP Vijay Kumar said that we have been able to break the mark of 200 terrorists in Kashmir, as this figure has come down to 180. For the first time in history, local terrorists have reduced to less than 100. The count is 85-86 after yesterday's encounter. So we can say that terrorism is on the decline. Vijay Kumar has informed that 24 terrorists have been killed in December, out of which 5 are Pakistani.
He said, 'We have seized 2 US-made M4 Carbine rifles, 15 AK47s, more than 24 pistols, grenades, IEDs. This shows the terrorist involvement of Pakistan Jaish-e-Mohammed. The security forces and the intelligence system are on full alert. He said that 128 local terrorists were recruited this year, out of which 73 were killed in encounters and 16 were arrested.
