Mumbai: BCCI Chief Selector MSK Prasad has described his poor fitness as the reason for not including Ambati Raidu in the World Cup squad. In fact, people questioned the selectors' decision when Ambati Raidu did not get a chance in the World Cup. When Chief Selector MSK Prasad appeared before the media to announce the Indian team on sunday during the West Indies tour, he himself responded. When a journalist questioned Prasad,' he explained the other reason why Raidu was not selected in the World Cup team.

There was a lot of criticism when Raidu was selected in the ODI team on the basis of good performance in the T20, said MSK Prasad. However, team combination was a plan. When he failed the fitness test, we included him in the fitness program. Though they were not selected because of team combination, it does not mean that we have taken a unilateral decision. You know that ambati Raidu had not found a place in the World Cup team only after he retired from cricket.

In a 3D tweet from Ambati Raidu, Chief Selector MSK Prasad said, "Ambati Raidu's tweet was fantastic and I liked it. When Vijay Shankar got his place in the World Cup team, Raidu tweeted that the Chief Selector was targeted. Vijay Shankar was replaced by Raidu by the selectors because he bowls along with the batting and doing the fielding well. Ambati Raidu was saddened by the selectors' decision and tweeted that she had ordered 3D glasses to watch the World Cup.
