USA: After the introduction of the brand-new Explorer EV for the European market, the US-based automaker, Ford is currently gearing up to unveil a new Capri crossover EV soon.
It will be the second completely new electric car built on Volkswagen's modular MEB platform, and some design cues from the iconic Capri model from the late 1960s will probably still be present. What can we expect from the EV?
As the demand for electric vehicles increases in the European markets, all the automakers are working hard to release new Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) to capitalize on the current trend. Ford has also made a strong mark in the segment with the brand-new Explorer e-SUV.

The business is currently preparing to add a new Capri crossover EV soon to further strengthen its position in Europe.
The new Ford Capri is expected to retain some design cues from the iconic 1960s model while adhering to the contemporary design philosophy of the brand.
Along with ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, a sculpted hood, raked windscreen, swept-back LED headlights and designer aerodynamic wheel covers, it will also feature ORVMs. The EV is expected to feature a roof mounted spoiler and LED taillights at the rear.

The interior of the all-new Ford Capri EV is still a mystery. However, we anticipate that the crossover will feature a spacious interior, a minimalistic dashboard, premium upholstery made from eco-friendly materials,
The company's Sync infotainment system with a multifunctional steering wheel, and the latest connectivity features. The EV should be fitted with multiple airbags and ADAS features for the safety of the occupants.
The automaker is yet to release any technical details about the upcoming Ford Capri EV. The crossover is speculated to be powered by either a single or dual motor setup connected to a 58kWh or 77kWh battery pack from Volkswagen's ID line of vehicles.

The future Ford Capri EV is still in the conceptual stage of development. The specifications of the crossover are yet to be decided by the automaker.
However, the new e-SUV will compete in the premium mid-size segment. When released, the new EV will probably be less expensive than the Volkswagen ID.4, which has a starting price of £38,845 (roughly Rs. 39.11 lakhs) in the UK.
