New Delhi: India's losses are increasing in the trade between India and China. India has raised this issue on several occasions. But China did not pay any attention to it. Due to the growing deficit with China, the US has launched a trade war against it. India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar addressed this concern while addressing a conference in Singapore. Jaishankar said that due to China's protectionist policies, its trade deficit with India is increasing.

Meanwhile, the India-China Strategic Economic meeting in New Delhi began on Monday and Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, also described the trade deficit as a major bottleneck in the way of pursuing bilateral trade. He urged China that now is the time to take concrete steps on its part to bridge the deficit. India's trade deficit (the difference between exports and imports) with China is currently $ 57 billion.

This means that China is exporting more goods worth $ 57 billion than what it imports from India. During its last financial year, the amount was $ 52 billion. The biggest reason for this is that exports from India to China are not increasing much. The Foreign Minister said that China treats Indian products in a very partisan manner. Therefore, India suffers more losses in trade.
