New Delhi: India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's visit to Washington DC is expected to focus on all aspects of India-US relations. This ranges from strategic and bilateral relations to quad and climate change as well as public health issues, which have now become the top priority for both countries.

For the first time since US President Joe Biden took over the reins of the country, a top Indian minister has visited the US. Jaishankar will visit Washington DC this week. In the first 100 days of the administration of US President Biden, his Defence Minister Lloyd Austin and Special Envoy on Climate Change John Kerry visited India, indicating how important relations with India are for the new administration.

Officials said Biden has said that India should feel free to ask the US for whatever it needs to deal with the global epidemic corona virus. The US has so far assisted India with $500 million in the war against the Corona virus. Officials said all aspects of the relationship will be discussed on Jaishankar's visit to the US in view of the strengthening of India-US relations in the last decade, irrespective of who has been in government during this period.
