Kanpur: Bird flu virus has also entered in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The first most dangerous case has come to the fore. As soon as the first case of bird flu came to the fore, the health department has been stirred up with the zoo administration. Not only that, the Kanpur administration has issued a high alert to keep zoo closed till further orders. In addition, the arrival of tourists and morning walkers has been banned outside the zoo. In the meantime, the statement of Uttar Pradesh Forest and Environment Minister Dara Singh Chouhan has come to the fore.

Recently, Forest and Environment Minister Dara Singh Chouhan said, "Everyone has been alerted amidst the threat of bird flu. The animal husbandry department is working on it. The work of sanitization is being done after the bird flu is confirmed in Kanpur. I am confident that we will soon overcome bird flu." Four chickens were killed in the Kanpur zoological park in the last two days. After this, the zoo-administration sent the chickens to the Bhopal Research Centre for postmortem, from where a report came last Saturday. The report has confirmed the most dangerous virus of H-5 strain i.e. bird flu. As soon as the confirmation is over, the Kanpur administration has declared the zoo as a high alert till further orders.

The birds' enclosures built in the Kanpur Zoological Park have been covered. Spraying and cleaning of medicines is being done. It is also being reported that the district administration has ordered to kill all the birds placed in the enclosures of the precautionary zoo. A notice has also been put out outside the zoo, which says, "Due to bird flu, zoo is being closed for tourists and morning walkers. Zoo will remain closed till further orders."
