The case of the leopard, which mysteriously disappeared from indore zoo, is now being heard. The leopard which was caught by the forest department last Tuesday is said to be male. On the other hand, the female leopard was brought to Indore from Burhanpur. A number of questions have been raised about the action of the forest department, which seems to be leading to a cover-up in the entire case.

Where it is learnt that the leopard brought from Burhanpur to Indore had disappeared from the zoo last week. The leopard was captured from Navratan Bagh in Indore on Tuesday after a 5-day search. They were taking him to the zoo in a vehicle without a cage. The letter given by the forest department to the zoo said that it was a female leopard. On the other hand, the leopard caught on Tuesday is a male. For this reason, the action of the forest department has been plagued by questions.

Forest department officials have said that the veterinary doctor conducted the test when the leopard was caught. On the basis of the test, he said that he could be a female. Since he was young and checked from a distance, it was said. The spots on the body of both leopards are the same. The leopard that has been caught and which disappeared is both the same. Dr Uttam Yadav, zoo in-charge of Indore, has called that the papers handed over to us by the forest department mentioned the female leopard. The leopard that has been caught is a male.

Where it is learnt that Forest Minister Vijay Shah had said that he was going to review on December 11. It is being speculated whether this is the reason why the leopard has been caught as soon as possible. Has the forest department made this move to prove itself right in the case? Was the entire script written to avoid the displeasure of the Forest Minister? There is a demand for action in the matter.
