Javed Akhtar is one of the renowned lyrists in Bollywood. The veteran lyrist is very outspoken on different issues and remained in for his statements. Javed Akhtar recently attended an event in Lahore Pakistan. He talks about terrorists behind the 2008 Mumbai attacks still roaming free in Pakistan.

Javed Akhtar in the event said, "The attackers weren’t from Norway, or from Egypt. They are still present in your country, so you should not be offended if an Indian complains about this.”  The veteran lyricist said India has hosted several Pakistani artists in the past, but Pakistan has never hosted singer Lata Mangeskar.  After his this speech Kangana Ranaut took to her social media and praised him, "Ghar me ghus ke maare (Attacked at their own land)".

However, it seems like Javed Akhtar does not care what Kangana feels. In a recent interview when he was asked about Kangana’s reaction. He said, "I don't consider Kangana important so how can she make an important remark? Forget about her. Chaliye aage."

Pakistani actors are not happy about Javed’s remark various actors took to the social media to slam the him. Actor  Savoor Aly wrote, “Koi apne ghar mein aa kar beizzat kar ke ja raha hai upse khushi se shor machaya ja raha hai aur phir qadmoun mein baitha ja raha hae . What a shame!" She added , "All the educated illiterate – the so-called niche – you never gave the same respect to your own talent. There were so many artists in this country that didn’t even have money to afford healthcare at the end of their lives. Where were all of these appreciators of talent back then?”
