Tapi: There is big news recently from Gujarat. 18 people have been arrested here, including former BJP minister Kanti Gamit and his son. Both have been arrested for violating the guidelines issued due to Coronavirus. This engagement took place in the area under the Sonagara police station of Tapi. During this period, the policemen who were doing duty have also been suspended. Not only this, orders have also been issued against him for investigation.

Kanti Gamit had gathered thousands of people in the engagement ceremony of her granddaughter. Videos of the crowd and Garba playing at the ceremony went viral and after that 18 people including BJP leader and former minister Kanti Gamit-his son got arrested.

Talking about viral videos, thousands of people were seen wearing masks in it. Not everyone had followed social distancing. When the video of the incident went viral, then the Home Minister ordered an inquiry. In this case, the police had registered a case against Kanti Gamit under Section 308 of IPC, Section 188,269,270 and Epidemic Act. However, this is the first such incident in Gujarat in which a former BJP minister has been arrested.
