In order to close another chapter of battle, Tata sons on Monday remove former chairman Cyrus Mistry from its board.

The company said, "The shareholders of Tata Sons, at the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held today, passed, with the requisite majority, resolution to remove Cyrus Mistry as a director of Tata Sons".

The 80 per cent vote is in favor of this decision.At EGM on Monday, Tata family put a picture in front and said people aware of the matter.  Simone Tata along with her son Noe; Tata are favor of Ratan Tata.

Cyrus Mistry and his brother Shapoor take a decision to skip down the meeting.In place of them, they send three people to guide by Roshan Lentin as their representative in Bombay House, the Tata headquarters.

Tata sons share is held by Tata Group companies, Ratan Tata, Noel Tata, Simone Tata, Jimmy Naval Tata, Vera Choksey and her brother.
