A horrific accident occurred on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway on Sunday night. In this horrific road accident, former councilor and former Bahujan Samaj Party leader Surjit Singh also died from Mayur Vihar in East Delhi.

In the accident, former councilor Surjit Singh's Fortuner car was hit from behind by a Volvo bus. 4 people including the councilor were on board. 6 people died in the accident.
