New Delhi: Former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has been placed on a life support system at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). His condition is still critical. Meanwhile, several leaders reached AIIMS to find out about his health. Senior BJP leader L.K.Advani along with his daughter Pratibha Advani had reached AIIMS to take stock of Arun Jaitley's health.

On August 9, 2019, he was brought to the hospital after the complaint of breathing problems and discomfort. On Tuesday, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Prakash Javadekar also reached AIIMS to find out the fate of Jaitley. However, no medical bulletin of the former Finance Minister has been issued by AIIMS since then. But sources at AIIMS say Jaitley's condition has not improved significantly.

Besides, Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Modi, Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Harsimrat Kaur Badal and BJP General Secretary Arun Singh also visited AIIMS to take care of Arun Jaitley. According to doctors, Jaitley's heart and lungs are not working properly, so he is placed on the Extropororal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) support at the Cardio-NeuroCentre.
