Former external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has been cremated with State honours at Lodhi Crematorium. Top dignitaries and others who came to the crematorium to pay their respects have vacant the premises. Sushma Swaraj's daughter Bansuri and and husband Swaraj Kaushal performed the last rites at the Lodhi crematorium in Delhi.

Sushma Swaraj, the former external minister and leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has already merged into Panchattva on Wednesday. During the funeral at Lodhi Road in the national capital many political leaders including Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, senior BJP leader L.K.Advani were present.

 At Sushma's funeral, her daughter Bansuri Swaraj and husband Swaraj Kaushal completed the last rites and both were very emotional during that time.

After the death of Sushma Swaraj, the government of Delhi and Haryana declared a two-day mourning and cremated her with full state honours in Delhi. Sushma Swaraj was the first full-time foreign minister to take over as PM before Indira Gandhi took over. Sushma Swaraj's name was known as a bright speaker in Indian politics and she made a place in the hearts of the people through her powerful speech.
