Samir Nasri, a former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder, announced his retirement from sport on Sunday at the age of 34. Nasri, 34, was suspended for 18 months for doping in 2018, an incident that he claims transformed his perspective on sport.

"It was just a vitamin shot because I was unwell," the former Olympique de Marseille, Arsenal, and Manchester City player told Le Journal du Dimanche newspaper. "It was just a vitamin injection because I was sick."
