Himachal Pradesh: Gurumukh Singh Bali, a former Himachal Pradesh minister, died in New Delhi on Friday night. He was 67 years old at the time. Bali was born in Kangra on July 27, 1954. Bali, a senior Congress figure, died on Friday night at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, according to his son Raghubir Singh Bali's Facebook post on Saturday morning.

It is with great sadness that I must inform everyone that my respected father, Shri GS Bali Ji, has passed away. At AIIMS, Delhi, he passed away last night. Whether GS Bali lives in this world or not, he will always be in the hearts of his people," my father used to say. Even though my father is no longer with us, his ideals and guidance will live on in our hearts and yours forever,  Raghubir wrote in his post. In a Facebook post, he stated that Bali's body would be brought to Himachal Pradesh and kept for public 'antim darshans.'

Mukesh Agnihotri, the state Assembly's leader of the opposition, expressed sorrow over Bali's death. Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, also expressed his condolences on the death of Senior Congress leader GS Bali. "The death of GS Bali, a senior member of the Congress family, is heartbreaking news. He was a lifelong supporter of the Congress party's ideology, which he carried forward in various roles. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
