New Delhi: Scientists warned that the online game 'PUBG' is familiarizing children with the world of crime and making their thinking negative. According to reports, a 22-year-old man, who had become addicted to a 'multi-player combat game', allegedly committed suicide in his home in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra last month. At the same time, a 14-year-old boy committed suicide after playing PUBG overnight in Kota, Rajasthan.

Last year, a 15-year-old teenager in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, allegedly murdered his elder brother after being reprimanded for playing PUBG on a mobile phone. Now, G Madhavan Nair, former head of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), said on Friday that PUBG offers nothing but mere harm. When asked about the demand to ban it, he said that it makes children aware of the world of crime and war.

He said that this game does not increase the skill or intellectual capacity of the players playing, especially the children. He said that there is a tendency to keep playing it till the game is won. It is a process of addiction and waste of time. It only develops a criminal mindset.
