Former MLA Dronaraju Srinivasa Rao died due to the corona virus

On Sunday, former MLA Dronaraju Srinivasa Rao died the next day with Kovid-19. He was 59. Prominent leader, former chairman of visakhapatnam metropolitan region development authority Srinivasa Rao was initially under house arrest and was admitted to a private hospital last month when he did not recover.

However, the son of the late Dronamaraju Satyanarayana, the Congress strongman in north andhra, won the by-election from the old city represented by his father and won again in the 2009 elections. Diehard Congress activist, he joined the YSR Congress Party in 2019 and lost by a margin from Visakhapatnam South Assembly constituency.

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy encouraged him and entrusted him with the responsibility of VMRDA, who started several projects, especially the MED Kotha Road flyover. Rinavasa Rao's wife Sasi is the granddaughter of former Governor and former Speaker of ap assembly Kona Prabhakara Rao.
