New Delhi: Former MP Dhananjay Singh has surrendered in MPMLA court on Friday. The court had issued a reward of Rs 25,000 with the issuance of non-bailable warrants against him. The court has sent him to jail after hearing the case. He came to court wearing jeans, a white shirt and mask, and a saffron cap. He has surrendered by returning the bail of the surety in an old pending trial. The court has sent him to Naini jail for the time being.

It is worth mentioning that the reward has been declared by the Commissionerate Police on Dhananjay Singh, former MP of Jaunpur who was absconding in the Ajit Singh murder case in the capital. On Thursday, DCP Eastern Sanjeev Suman had said that former MPs are accused of conspiring in the murder of former senior deputy chief Ajit Singh. According to DCP Eastern Sanjeev Suman, the search has intensified after obtaining a non-bailable warrant from the court against the former MP in the Ajit murder case. Police raided four of his bases in Lucknow on Wednesday night, but former MPs could not be found. Police arrested three people from these locations. He was released after questioning.

Earlier, Rajdev Singh, father of former MP and former MLA of Rari, has sent a letter to the CM, seeking protection of the son. He fears that the son's life is threatened by the police's continued action against the law.
