During the 1990s, Pakistan had dangerous bowlers. In front of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, players from outside countries also ate. But apart from these, another dangerous bowler had entered the Pakistan team, that was Aaqib Javed. The right-arm fast bowler played a key role for the Pakistan team in the 1992 World Cup victory. Recently, in an interview, he made some comments comparing Pakistan cricket team with Bangladesh. According to the former fast bowler, Bangladesh's batting unit is more mature than Pakistan.

He said, 'If you compare Bangladesh's batting with Pakistan, you can see that they are not behind. Sometimes he looks more mature and it seems that his batting has more options than Pakistan. Javed recalled the time when Bangladesh was not the best team in the 90s and early 2000s. He said that the investment made by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in his national academy has helped him bring out the best cricketers. He gave credit to the development programs of Bangladesh which have helped cricket grow very fast in recent times.

Aaqib said, 'I still remember the time when we used to play with Bangladesh. It was mostly one-sided at the time, but recently, Bangladesh has come out with really talented players who have really made their mark at the highest level. The reason behind this is that Bangladesh was very consistent in favour of its development. He has a very good and continuous development plan under the National Academy. If I compare the progress of Bangladesh with Pakistan, I think Bangladesh has achieved more in its limited resources than Pakistan.

Bangladesh's team has strengthened with strength in the last few years. He has defeated almost every Test-playing country in at least one format and has also made it to the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy. It should also be noted that Bangladesh has played more Asia Cup finals than Pakistan in recent times. Even in junior-level cricket, Bangladesh created history by winning the U19 World Cup earlier this year. Aqib Javed retired from sports at the age of 28. He played 163 ODIs and took 182 wickets. He also played 22 Tests and took 54 wickets.
