Bangalore: Amid rising corona virus-infected patients and deaths in the country, former PM HD Deve Gowda has written to PM Narendra Modi giving some suggestions to curb infections. Former PM Deve Gowda wrote in the letter that it would be a good human sign if the Central government provides free dose of vaccine to all citizens.

HD Deve Gowda said in his letter that the country is currently facing a deadly wave of coronavirus and people are seen standing in long queues outside cemeteries and cremation ground. He said he had written to CM BS Yeddyurappa on April 21 giving suggestions when the cases were on the rise in Karnataka. He wrote in his letter that health administration and covid management should be decentralized, the district administration needs to provide jobs to medical professionals on small contracts for assistance.

Deve Gowda said there is a need to build war rooms at all district headquarters. There is a need to increase covid centers and health centers in the private and public sectors. He said that at present, there is a need to prepare for covid management in non-urban areas, talukas, and villages and remove misleading information about the vaccine.
