ISLAMABAD: The lower house of the Pak Parliament has passed four bills related to it in accordance with the stringent conditions laid down by the FTF, the global money laundering and terrorist funding watchdog. This bill has been passed after a consensus was reached between the government and the opposition in this regard. It has been learned that these new bills are being passed by Pakistan, so that with their help, they are going to come out of the FTF's gray-list and go to the white-list. In June 2018, the FTF called for the implementation of the action plan by the end of 2019 after Pakistan was put on the gray list, but due to the coronavirus epidemic, it was given an extension.
Law Minister Farooh Naseem said that it was a historic day that the FTF Bill has been passed in the interest of the country. These 4 Bills - Anti Terrorism (Amendment) Bill, 2020; The Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2020; The Limited Liability Partnership (Amendment) Bill, 2020 and the Drug Control (Amendment) Bill, 2020. Now all the four Bills have been sent to the Upper House, National Assembly.
As it has come to be known that Pakistan is not so easy to hawk. The President of the United States of America, including President Donald Trump, has accused Pakistan of supporting terrorists. Trump is being called a safe haven for terrorists in many global forums. At the same time it is being said that Pakistan is almost bankrupt at this time. To save the countrymen from Kovid, Imran Khan has requested many times from the international community for help. In such a situation, there is no option other than pretending to oppose terrorism in front of Pakistan. Pakistan's PM Imran is well aware that if Pakistan does not get out of the FTF gray-list, then every countryman can be forced to roti.
