BENGALURU: Four people were detained in Bengaluru on Tuesday in connection with the gang rape of a young woman from West Bengal.
Rajath, Shivaran, Dev Saraoi, and Yogesh Kumar are the people who were arrested. All of the defendants are from New Delhi. The incident had recently come to light. In this case, the victim, a private firm employee, filed a complaint with the Sanjaynagar police station in Bengaluru.
According to DCP (North) Vinayak Patil, the event was reported last week and a complaint was filed. On a dating app, the woman met Rajath, one of the accused, and they became friends. When the incident occurred, she had gone to his house for dinner.
Rajath and his three friends had allegedly gang raped her, according to her allegation. As a result, he continued, the police detained the accused persons immediately. All four defendants have been placed in judicial custody. They'd travelled to Bengaluru to improve their swimming training.
