Moscow: The war between Russia and Ukraine continues for the eighth day on Thursday. Meanwhile, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) met again on the issue of war, in which a resolution was brought against Russia. It asked Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine. The resolution was passed in the UNGA, but five countries (including Russia) were against the proposal. These four countries have been described by Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky as friends of Russia.

The 193-member UNGA condemned the Russian attack and called for the withdrawal of the military. There was also a vote on the issue, in which India did not participate. The resolution, called Aggression against Ukraine, was discussed by 94 members of the UN, of which 141 were supporting the withdrawal of troops from Ukraine. 34 did not vote. Five countries voted against it. In addition to Russia, Belarus, Eritrea, North Korea and Syria voted against the resolution. To this, President Volodymyr Zelensky responded by saying that Russia has no friends left but the four.

The proposal was co-sponsored by about 100 countries. These include Ukraine and the US as well as Afghanistan, Albania, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Myanmar, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom.
