In Lucknow's Hazipur village in Bilari area of Moradabad district the four girls while working at a pond died as a mound of mud caved in.
The police as per the sources news said 'Pinki, Swati, Kiran and Mamta- all aged 16, were digging through mud in the pond for construction purpose. They were buried under a huge mound of mud as it caved in suddenly'
They were trapped in a huge mass of mud and by the time locals arrived they had already died, said InspectorRamveer Singh.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for the postmortem.
