Chhattisgarh: Four relative went for picnic, drowned in river

Bilaspur: Four persons of the same family have been reported killed when they drowned near a river fall in village Barkabahra, which falls under Kelhari police station area of Korea district of Chhattisgarh. The dead include two women and two men. Two are residents of Manendragarh city and two from Shahganj in Uttar Pradesh. In fact, the two newlywed couples went to their aunt's house in Tara Deaf village on Monday

In the meantime, they went to picnic spots in the afternoon and all of them got into the river and started washing their hands and feet, while all four died when the river suddenly became overflowing.

Niyaz Khan, a resident of Hazari Chowk in Manendragarh in Korea district, was from Sanaa, the sister of Tahir, a resident of Shahganj in Uttar Pradesh, seven months ago, and Tahir was with Niaz's sister. Tahir, a resident of Shahganj in UP, had come to Manendragarh to leave his sister Sana and take wife Shaheen Parveen. On Monday, Niyaz, along with his wife, sister and brother-in-law Tahir, visited their relatives at Tarabahra in village Barkabahra, under Kelhari police station area.

From here, the four villages had gone for a walk near the Gudru river. In the afternoon, all four were getting into the river and washing their hands and feet. In the meantime, suddenly the rain water came into the river and the two youths started drowning and the women threw a dupatta in their hands towards their husbands and tried to save them, but due to fast pace of water they drowned and died.
