There has been a tragic accident in Phoolbehad police station area. The car fell into the canal after being hit by a bridge located there. Four people on board lost their lives when the car fell into the canal. Father and son were among the dead. Meanwhile, the driver of the car is yet to be traced.

Police sources said the incident took place on Thursday. Ajay (25), his son Priyanshu, Deepak (25) and Lalit Verma (30) of Rampur Siktia village were travelling by car. The driver of the car has suddenly lost control and the major accident occurred when he fell into the canal. Ajay, Priyanshu, Deepak and Lalit drowned in the incident while a car driver named Sumit Yadav is feared to have drowned.

Divers on the lookout: He has said that two youths Sanjay and Tarun escaped. Kheri Superintendent of Police Vijay Dhull rushed to the spot. Meanwhile, divers are searching for a missing youth after retrieving the bodies from the car. The bodies have been sent for postmortem. He said the victims were returning from a Tilak function in Dhorhara area.
