Four athletes from Russia's track and field have been accused of consuming banned medicines. These include two Olympic gold medalists. It is also being said that Beijing Olympics 2008 high jump champion Andrei Silnov and London Olympics 2012 400m hurdles champion Natalia Antriukh have been accused of taking banned drugs or using restricted methods.

The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) said that these cases are based on the investigation of Russian doping for the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). It was introduced in 2016 by Canadian lawyer Richard McLaren.
