Four Storey Building Collapsed in Mumbai, 3 killed and 12 injured

A four-storey residential building located in Mumbai’s Kurla’s Naik Nagar Society collapsed at midnight. Two men of age 28 and 20 years were declared dead in Rajawadi hospital while 12 others were injured. 

According to the civic disaster report, the incident took place at 11:52 pm on Monday night when a building in Mumbai’s Kurla collapsed. The Fire Brigade dispatched seven trucks, two rescue vans and ambulances for the rescue operation.

As per the reports the resident of this building were already given notice six year ago to vacate the building but the resident continued to stay and now at least three people lost their lives, 12 are fighting for their lives in the hospital and 20 people are trapped.

The state government has also announced 5 lakh gratia for the family of the people who die and free treatment for the injured and has also stated that the incident will be probed and action will be taken against those who are responsible.

Rescue operation is still going on. 

At least 22 people are trapped and to save their lives the team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is conducting a rescue operation. Rescuers cheered when a woman bought out alive from the rubble and they are searching for more survivors.
