Four-time Olympic champion American gymnast Simone Biles has tied the knot with her boyfriend Jonathan Owens. Jonathan Owens has represented the Houston Texans in the National Football League (NFL). Biles, 24, also reported the decision by sharing pictures of the engagement on social media.
Biles wrote on Instagram, 'Easiest Yes. Can't always wait to spend with you. You're everything I dreamt of. Let's get married to the fiancé.' Jonathan replied, writing, 'Ready with you forever.'
Biles and Owens were introduced through a dating app. The two have been dating each other since 2020. Owens has stood by her during difficult times at the Tokyo Olympics, and Biles was also seen cheering for her fiance in the run-up to the NFL bouts.
Simone Biles is said to be one of the greatest players in gymnastics. In 2013, at the age of 16, she also won two gold medals at the World Championships. In 2014 and again in 2015, she captured a total of 8 gold medals at the World Championships. At the Rio Olympics 2016, Simone Biles managed to win six medals, including 4 gold, for the United States.
