New Delhi: The French ambassador to India said on Tuesday that his country will announce a 'special package' for India, including providing ventilators, as part of an effort to a joint deal on the global pandemic coronavirus. In his message on the occasion of the French National Day, the French Ambassador to India, Emmanuel Lenain, said that both countries have shown extraordinary solidarity since the early phase of the Corona crisis.

Lenain further added, "India has provided the much-needed equipment and medicines to the hospitals in France. The friendship is two-sided and France will support it. French Development Agency AFD has approved a special loan of 200 million euros (1,600 crores). ''

In a message shared on the social media handle of the French Embassy, Lenayne said, "We are soon to announce a specific package which will have serological tests (kits), ventilators and some expertise." Lenain said that the way India has supported the repatriation of stranded tourists is an extraordinary example of solidarity. He has thanked the Indian authorities for this.
