Paris: Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal won the men's singles title of the French Open for the 12th time on Sunday night. Second-seeded Nadal beat fourth-seeded Austrian Dominic Thiem in the final 6-3, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1. 33-year-old Nadal has become the first player in the world to win a grand slam most times. Earlier, the record was named after Australia's Margaret Court.

Margaret Court had won the Australian Open's Womans singles title 11 times, according to information from sources. On the overall point, it is Nadal's 18th grand slam title. They are two titles away from Roger Federer's record of winning the highest 20 grand slams. Nadal won the French Open for the 12th time in 15 years. Their win-loss record in the tournament has gone up to 93-2. Nadal won the title last year as well, beating Thiem.

With this, the world No. 2 Nadal has the French Open's men's singles trophy from 2005 to 2008, 2010 to 2014 and 2017 to 2019. This is the 8th-2nd title of Nadal's career. At the same time, it is the 950 victory of his career.
