Coco Goff of the United States has become the second youngest player to reach the Grand Slam final after defeating Italy's Matrina Trevissan in the French Open semi-finals. The two players were due to play their first Grand Slam semi-finals on Thursday at the Court philippe chatrier in Paris, in which Gauff defeated Trevisan 6-3, 6-1 in straight sets to advance to his first Grand Slam final.

Gauff, 18, is the second youngest player to reach a Grand Slam final, while Maria Sharapova, who won 2004 Wimbledon at the age of 17, has come first on the list. Gaff has also been Roland Garros' youngest finalist in the last 21 years. In the final, Goff will face world number one Iga Swiatek.  

Goff has also called on the Americans to put an end to shooting incidents after making it to the final of the French Open. Gauff wrote a message on an on-court camera after defeating Italy's Maria Trevisan - peace, firing incidents have stopped. After which he has made a heart on camera. Talking about the pressure of the final match, Goff said: "Yes, it's a Grand Slam final, but there's a lot of things going on in the world right now, especially in the UNITED STATES. I'm not going to take the pressure of a tennis match.
