Raveendran Pillai says, "We don't just wear one color clothes, but the material of our shirt and pants is also a bean. The two started this habit of dressing up with one 25 years ago." Raveendran Pillai also said, "Six years after the meeting, we became business partners in 1988. We connected our units together and opened a tailor's shop called PK. However, P or K used in the name of the shop has nothing to do with their real name. In fact, the locals saw the duo and named them Pachu and Kovalan, two popular cartoon characters of the late PK tailors.''

Talking to a website further, Raveendran said, 'We have one long, and the other a little younger. So whenever we left dressed, people jokingly Pachu us and started calling us Kovalan. We didn't mind it, but so much so that at Udaykumar's suggestion, we named our shop PK. Raveendran and Udayakumar live nearby. The two bought plots nearby to erase the distance between them and built their own house. Initially, the families of the two also wore clothes from the same, but later it became difficult for the women to find the same clothes. Because of this, today only Raveendran and Udayakumar wear a kind of clothes.
