In the Women's World Cup, the Indian team has managed to avenge India's T-20 World Cup defeat by defeating Pakistan. PV Sindhu: Sindhu suffered a defeat in the final of the 2021 Swiss Open, but has been selected as ambassador at the Tokyo Olympics. It has also proved to be a very big thing for an Indian player to get this responsibility. In this Olympics, she has won the bronze medal. She became the second female athlete to have also made it to the semi-finals of the Olympics for the second time. Sindhu also reached the final of the 2021 BWF World Championships and became just the second woman player to do so. After which she also won in The Syed Modi International.  

Mirabai Chanu: Mirabai Chanu, who gave the country its first medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, has made the country proudly high several times in the last one year. She has brought laurels to the country by winning a bronze medal at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in April 2021. In the meantime, she set a world record by lifting 119 kilograms. In June 2021, she became the first Indian woman weightlifter to make it to the 2020 Olympics. In the Tokyo Olympics too, she has also made a great start for India by winning a silver medal.
