The fall in crude oil prices is said to have cut petrol and diesel prices in the country in the coming days. In fact, IOC, BPCL and HPCL of state-owned oil companies have not changed oil prices in any way.

Let me tell you that it has been 48 days since there was any change in the price of petrol and diesel in India. Petrol is priced at Rs 95.41 per litre and diesel at Rs 86.67 per litre in the capital Delhi today. In Mumbai, petrol is priced at Rs 109.98 per litre today while one litre of diesel is priced at Rs 94.14 per litre. At the same time, the price of one litre of petrol in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, is Rs 101.40 per litre and that of one litre of diesel is Rs 91.43. On the other hand, petrol prices in Kolkata today are Rs 104.67 per litre and diesel at Rs 89.79 per litre.
