New Delhi [India], Oct 26 (NT): It’s almost more than a week Fuel prices continuing to witnesses further cut on Friday, providing big relief to consumers from harsh rate increases.

Today, petrol was cut by 25 paise a liter in Delhi, after which the price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 80.85 per liter. Diesel prices in Delhi have also been reduced by 7 paise, after which the price of diesel in Delhi is Rs 74.73 per liter.

Petrol and diesel prices have also seen a decline in the financial capital Mumbai. In Mumbai today, the price of petrol has been reduced by 25 paise and diesel price has also been cut by 8 paise. After this, the price of petrol in Mumbai is 86.33 rupees and diesel is 78.33 rupees per liter. Significantly, there was no change in prices of petrol and diesel prices on Thursday. On Thursday, prices of petrol and diesel remained steady across the country.

Worth mention here the fuel prices had been witnessing a persistent hike since the past few months in the nation.

On October 4, in a bid to relieve the crisis caused by soaring fuel prices, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, announced a cut of Rs 2.50 per litre on both petrol and diesel prices after reduction excise duty on the commodity by Rs 1.50 per litre.
