Fuel prices fall by 39-45 paise per litre on Friday -See recent details

New Delhi: Fuel prices fell again on Friday as global crude oil continued its downward trend on Friday post a pullback earlier in the week and following this they were cut by 39-45 paise per litre in major cities of the nation today.

Subsequent to the latest price revision, petrol in Delhi is sold at Rs 70.92. It is down 40 paise per litre compared to Rs 71.32 on Thursday while Diesel is sold at Rs 65.55 which is down 41 paise against yesterday.

Talking about Mumbai, petrol is retailed at Rs 76.50 today, as compared to Rs 76.90 on Thursday and while diesel became cheaper by 43 paise to Rs 68.59.

In other metro cities of India  like Chennai and Kolkata, petrol is being retailed at Rs 73.57 and Rs 72.97 respectively on the other hand diesel in these cities is priced at Rs 69.19 and Rs 67.28 respectively.

Worth mention here International crude oil prices fell on Friday, pulled down by OPEC's decision to hold up a final decision on output cuts, in anticipation of support from non-OPEC heavyweight Russia. International Brent crude oil futures fell below $60 per barrel early in Asian trade and it was trading at $59.73 per barrel as of 9.15 am which is down 33 cents from their last close.
