New Delhi: The fuel prices were hiked consecutively for the last six days till Tuesday.  The retail petrol and diesel prices unchanged for a second day on Thursday in four metro cities. Petrol is being sold for Rs 71.27 per litre while diesel costs Rs 65.90 a litre in Delhi with no change compared to Tuesday's rate.

Talking about fuel prince in Mumbai, as per data available with Indian Oil Corp website, Petrol price is retailing at Rs 76.90 per litre and diesel can be availed at Rs 69.01 a litre in Mumbai. While In Kolkata, petrol and diesel are priced at Rs 73.36 and Rs 67.68 a litre respectively. Customers have to pay Rs 73.99 for a litre of petrol while diesel costs Rs 69.62 per litre in Chennai.

 The retail price of petrol in Gurugram and Noida remain unchanged at Rs 71.99 and Rs 70.97 respectively. In Gurugram and Noida Diesel diesel costs Rs 65.67 and Rs 65.06 respectively.

As per the daily dynamic pricing regime, the pump petrol and diesel prices depend on global fuel prices on a 15-day average, beside and the rupee-US dollar exchange rate as the country imports 80 per cent of its crude need.
