New Delhi: The problems of fugitive liquor businessman and owner of Kingfisher Vijay Malaya are once again seen increasing. The 17-bedroom luxury mansion on the French island of Malaya can now be Nilam. Qatar National Bank filed a petition in the court saying that Mallya's 1.3-hectare property on the French island of Ile Saint Marguerite has been lying vacant for a long time and he wants permission to auction it.

According to the news, Mallya bought this mansion named 'L'Gaw Jadan' in 2008 through his company Gizmo Invest SA. For this, Mallya spent $ 30 million (about Rs 140 crore) out of a loan facility from Ansbacher & Co, a unit of Qatar National Bank. The bank told the London High Court that Mallya's company Gizmo had failed to repay the loan. He therefore demands that Mallya be asked to sell his 50-meter Superyat. The bank says that the same boat was pledged as a loan security of Rs 26 crore.

Let us tell you that this mansion has 17 luxury bedrooms as well as cinema hall, helipad and nightclubs. At the beginning of the New Year, the Mumbai Special Court Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) allowed several banks under the State Bank of India (SBI) to recover the debts of the financial offender Vijay Mallya. Last month, Indian banks, led by the State Bank, demanded a London court to confiscate Vijay Mallya's property and declare him bankrupt.
