Recently released movie Fukrey Returns has emerged a superhit at the box-office what with the film having collected Rs 70.46 crore by the end of its 12-day run. A sequel to the 2013 coming-of-age film Fukrey, Fukrey Returns added Rs 2.10 more to its kitty on its second Tuesday, which is a remarkable feat for a film of this stature. After a smooth run during weekdays, the film showed its magic in the second weekend too fetching a super impressive Rs 15.56 crore.
The postponement of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's historical drama Padmavati played an important role in the the success of Fukrey Returns, due to which it got a solo release window of two weeks. The film is expected to continue its dream run at the box-office until Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif arrive in the theatres with their much talked-about espionage drama Tiger Zinda Hai.
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced by Excel Entertainment, Fukrey Returns hit the screens on December 8. It stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles.
