Bali: Bali: On the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Macron today. The two leaders talked about ways to improve connections between India and Germany in a range of areas, including commerce, finance, and security, during their meeting.

Tweeted the Prime Minister's Office: "On the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in Bali, PM @narendramodi and Chancellor Scholz had a productive meeting. The discussions focused on strengthening ties between Germany and India, notably in vital spheres like commerce, finance, and security. @Bundeskanzler."

It was the third meeting between the two leaders this year, the Ministry of External Affairs stated in a statement. According to the statement, Modi and Scholz spoke about the bilateral partnership between India and Germany, which took on a new phase when the PM and Chancellor signed the agreement on green and sustainable development during the Inter-Governmental Consultations (IGC).

At the G20 summit in Bali, PM Narendra Modi met with his counterpart Lee Hsien Loong from Singapore. The two leaders spoke about the enormous potential for expanding "India-Singapore cooperation" in cutting-edge fields like solar energy and the green economy. Lee Hsien Loong and Narendra Modi also discussed measures to expand bilateral commerce and cultural ties.

They talked about the enormous potential for expanding India-Singapore cooperation in cutting-edge fields like solar energy and the green economy. The topic of ways to strengthen cultural and commercial ties was also covered."
On the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also had a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. On several topics, the two leaders held "fruitful discussions," according to a tweet from the Prime Minister's Office. PM Modi and French President Macron talked on ways that both countries may improve their defence cooperation and promote sustainable prosperity.

The Prime Minister's Office tweeted information about Modi's meeting with Macron "President @EmmanuelMacron and Prime Minister @narendramodi spoke during the @g20org Summit in Bali. They held insightful discussions about a range of topics. The two presidents talked on ways to strengthen military ties, promote sustainable growth, and expand economic cooperation."

Prior to that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the G20 Presidency informally from Indonesian President Joko Widodo. On December 1, 2022, India will notably assume the G20 leadership.

PM Modi said at the closing ceremony, "At a time when the globe is juggling geopolitical unrest, a slowing economy, rising food and energy costs, and the pandemic's long-term negative repercussions, India is assuming the helm of the G-20. The G-20 is being watched closely by the entire world at this moment. I want to reassure everyone that India will lead the G-20 in an inclusive, ambitious, definite, and action-oriented manner today."

To call it a "The G20 presidency is a "proud occasion" for all Indians, Prime Minister Modi said, and "we will conduct G-20 meetings in various cities and states of our nation. All of India's incredible diversity, inclusive traditions, and cultural richness will be fully experienced by our guests."
