GA-ASI Announces Strategic ties with Bharat Forge to Manufacture Aerostructures

The United State-based drone manufacturer General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI)  has signed an agreement with leading Indian forging company Bharat Forge Limited to manufacture main landing gear components, subassemblies, and assemblies of remotely piloted aircraft. The action plan is expected to help India build a manufacturing ecosystem for high-end drones in the country. 

The partnership has been announced between General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI), a wholly subsidiary of General Atomics & Bharat Forge Ltd. 

"GA-ASI is avidly looking forward to cooperating with Bharat Forge in the crucial sector of aerostructure manufacturing, stated General Atomics Global Corporation Chief Executive Vivek Lall in a statement about the partnership."

"Bharat Forge's expertise is well-known across the world, and their remarkable contributions to the aerospace industry have motivated us to collaborate for the development of the next generation of the most technologically advanced unmanned aerial vehicles, " Vivek Lall said.

GA-ASI said in a statement that it is optimistic that its partnership with Bharat Forge would lead to considerable capability growth for both businesses and provide the Indian big, unmanned aircraft industry a boost.

While Baba Kalyani, the chairman and managing director of Bharat Forge Ltd, stated in his statement, "Aerospace is a distinct culture that necessitates a significant emphasis on people and procedures. As part of our Aerospace Growth Strategy, our alliance with GA-ASI is a strong testimony of our culture in Bharat Forge Aerospace to demonstrate  and assimilate the same, as partners to General Atomics, in making India Atmanirbhar."

As per a company statement,  Bharat Forge is India's greatest reservoir of metallurgical expertise, design and technical know-how, and production prowess. The forging business has more than 50 years of production expertise in a broad range of important safety components with outstanding performance.
