Merchant vessels collide in Gulf of Kutch, no casualty, oil spill reported

On Friday night, a collision happened in the Gulf of Kutch between two ships. On Saturday, a spokeswoman for the Defense Ministry announced the news. There have been no reports of anyone being hurt in this collision. There have also been no reports of oil leaks as a result of this. On the night of November 26th, the MVs Aviator and Atlantic Grace collided in the Gulf of Kutch, according to the investigation. The Indian Coast Guard and a Pollution Control Boat have arrived at the scene and are evaluating the situation due to the gravity of the issue.

Another example was a Navy officer who drowned on the Kovalam beach while on vacation in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This information was released by the authorities on Friday. On Friday, the officer's body was found at Kelambakkam, some 5 kilometres from where he was carried away in the sea.

 

"Lt. Commander of the Indian Navy JR Suresh has washed away on the Kovalam beach on the outskirts of Chennai on the evening of November 25, 2021," according to a defence release. On November 26, the officer's body was discovered at Kelambakkam in the afternoon. According to the press announcement, the officer was stationed in New Delhi and had travelled to Kovalam with his family for a vacation.
