Today is Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. You must be aware that Mahatma Gandhi not only helped the country to get freedom but has also taught the whole world to follow the path of non-violence. Mahatma Gandhi was born on this day i.e. 2nd October and on this day everyone remembered him. There are many stories related to the life of Mahatma Gandhi while there are many unheard stories related to his life. On which many Bollywood makers have made films. Now, today, we are going to tell you about the films made on the life of Mahatma Gandhi.

Gandhi My Father- Director Feroz Abbas Khan made a film on Gandhiji's life. In fact, he made a film on the relationship between Gandhiji and his son Harilal Gandhi. All of you must have seen Darshan Jariwala as Mahatma Gandhi in this film. Akshaye Khanna played his son Hiralal.

Gandhi- In 1982, filmmaker Richard Attenborough made a film on Gandhiji's life. The film won an Oscar award. Hollywood actor Ben Kinsley was seen playing Gandhiji in the film.

Lage Raho Munna Bhai- Gandhiji's ideology film Lage Raho Munna Bhai. The film conveyed Gandhiji's views and the same film was called Gandhigiri.

The Making of Mahatma- Filmmaker Shyam Beniwal had shown Mahatma Gandhi's days on the big screen when he was practising barristers in South Africa. The film shows Bapu not visiting India for independence.

Hey Ram- Director Kamal Haasan showed the riots that followed Gandhiji's assassination and partition of the country in the film. Naseeruddin Shah played the role of Mahatma Gandhi in the film. Atul Kulkarni, Rani Mukerji, Girish Karnad and Shah Rukh Khan were mainly seen in the film along with Naseeruddin Shah.
