Jaipur: Popular Gandhiwadi thinker Padma Shri Dr SN Subba Rao passed away in Jaipur this morning. Subba Rao has been very popular in establishing Gandhiwadi ideas. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot considered 92-year-old Subba Rao as his role model. He had been unwell for a long time. He was undergoing treatment at Jaipur Sawai Mansingh Hospital. He breathed his last this morning.

It was only on Tuesday evening that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had gone to SSS Hospital to ask for his wellbeing. Chief Minister Gehlot was also constantly taking stock of his health from doctors. Born in Bengaluru in 1929, Dr Subba Rao joined the Quit India Movement at the age of 13. Dr Singh, who is known for establishing Gandhiwadi ideas. Subba Rao had surrendered dangerous dacoits in Chambal valley.

He had established the Gandhi Seva Sangh and provided employment to thousands of people. He was a founding member of the National Service Scheme. He had also set up the National Youth Project. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot considered Dr Subba Rao as his role model. Gehlot used to take constant guidance from Dr Subbarao. Subba Rao had been ill for the past few days. Chief Minister Gehlot had visited Subba Rao thrice in the last 5 days.
