The festival of Ganpati Bappa is celebrated every year as Ganesh Chaturthi. This time Ganesh Chaturthi is scheduled to be celebrated on September 2 and we have brought the story of Ganesha's birth for you.

Story of Lord Ganesh's Birth -  Goddess Parvati once created a child from the impurities and bulging of her body. and gave him ordered "You're my son. You obey my orders and not anyone's' else'. son! I am going to the Bhogavati river for bathing. After a while, Lord Shankar came and tried to enter Parvati's building. Seeing this, the boy tried to stop him, and Lord Shankar became angry when he saw the child's persistence. He considered it as an insult and beheaded the boy with his trident and moved in. Parvati was serving food in the plates. she served two plates.

Lord Shiva wondered, "Who did this?" Parvati said, "He is for my son Ganesha who was guarding the door outside. Didn't you see him when you came?"  Lord Shiva narrated the whole incident to Goddess Parvati, She started crying and pleaded to Lord shiva for the life of his son. On the request of Lord Shiva, Lord Brahma put the head of an elephant on the body of Ganesh and this way he was alive again. The deities praised the child by many names like Ganesha, Ganapati, Vinayak, Vighnaharta, Pratham Pujya, etc. The reason behind this is mentioned in the Brahmavavarta Purana.

This is the story of Lord ganesh's birth. He is a God of prosperity and Knowledge. The one who seeks knowledge should worship Lord Ganesh and should seek blessings from him.
