Today is the festival of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi fast on the Chaturthi Tithi of Ashwani Krishnapaksha and after the immersion of Bappa, today the beloved day of Ganesh Ji is back. In such a day, one should keep fast by retiring from bathing in the morning and if it is not possible, then in the morning and evening, after offering fruits, flowers, Akshat, Roli and Mouli to Lord Ganesha, one should offer Modak.

Shlok - प्रात: स्मरामि गणनाथमनाथ बन्धुं सिन्दूर पूरपरिशोभितगंडयुग्मम. उद्दंडविघ्नपरिखंडनचंडदंड माखंडलादिसुरनायकवृंदवन्द्यम.
