Jaipur: A case of gang rape of a 25-year-old girl at a hotel in Rajasthan's Churu district has come to light. After the gang rape, the girl was thrown down from the window of the second floor. The victim had come to Churu from Delhi in search of a job. The girl is said to be originally from Assam, who was now living in Delhi. The incident took place on Friday (February 11, 2022) night. The accused also include a government teacher. Churu police have registered a case and are investigating the case. The hotel where the incident took place is located near the railway station.

 

 

According to media reports, the accused Devendra Singh and Vikram Singh dragged the girl into the hotel room. The young woman was assaulted and her hands were tied with a rope. After the gang rape, the victim was thrown down from the window of the second floor. The girl fell on the electric pole. The rope tied in her hands got entangled in the pole and she avoided hitting the ground directly. She was later rescued by the police. The victim has been sent for medical examination. A case in this regard has been registered at the Women's Police Station in Churu. So far, Devendra Singh, Vikram Singh, Bhawani Singh and Sunil Rajput have been arrested in the case. Sub-Inspector Mamta Saraswat said that the victim has identified the accused.

The victim later became pregnant. On January 12, a minor girl was found on the flyover in Alwar in critical condition. There was blood coming from the girl's private part. She was admitted to the hospital. According to national crime records bureau (NCRB) data, Rajasthan has recorded the highest number of rape and attempt to rape cases in the year 2020. Rajasthan's capital Jaipur found 28.1 rape cases per lakh population, which is almost 2 times that of the country's capital Delhi. In Delhi, the figure is 12.8 per lakh.
