In Jharkhand, three youths gangraped a woman returning home from the market in Koderma after finding her in a deserted area. The incident took place on last Thursday. The victim has registered a case against the three accused at Koderma police station in this connection. Police have also conducted a quick investigation and detained two of the three accused. Further investigation is on. The victim told police that she had come from Baddiha to Koderma Market. When she reached Koderma Town railway station on her way home from the market, three youths caught her and took her to a nearby forest and committed the gang rape.
The victim has filed a case against the three criminals, Refine Mian, Rabbani and Ayub Ansari at Koderma police station in this connection and sought justice. Police have registered case no. 96/21 under Section 376B and are seriously investigating the case. Police have promptly taken the accused, Refine Mian and Ayub Ansari, into custody, while efforts are on to arrest Rabbani.
SI Sunil Kumar of Koderma police station said a case of gang rape of the woman has come to light. A case is being registered and investigation is being conducted on the statement of the victim. Two accused have been arrested and sent to jail. The victim has undergone a medical examination. Further action will be taken after the report is received. Police are on the lookout for the third accused.
